Survey of inshore fisheries on a portion of the southern coast of Tutuila, American Samoa. Total pounds landed in the survey area have declined since 1991 by 75%, and catch per unit effort declined by 60%. This decline is due to large catch of atule (Selar crumenophthalmus) in 1991 (131,700 lbs). There are few classic overfishing signs in the fishery besides the overall decline in total catch.
