The primary objective of this investigation was to establish baseline information on the stream macroinvertebrate fauna that could be used in assessing biotic impacts of anthropogenic disturbances. A secondary objective was to conpare the effectiveness of a variety of biologicalwater quality indices in assessing inpacts if they have occurred.
