Recreation Area (NRA) staff. The operation and maintenance of the water and wastewater systems within the recreation area have been significantly impacted by increased visitation during the previous decade. In addition, the recent Amendments to the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) will require additional contaminant testing to monitor maximum contaminant levels. The study addresses the water and wastewater systems at each of the nine developed areas as well as one primitive area.
