The principal objective in this study was to increase our understanding of the dynamics of reef ecosystems in general, Buck Island Reef in particular. In order to fulfill this objective, theproject was divided into two separate portions: biological and geological, which were integrated in the overall analysis to develop a better understanding of reef history.
