The purpose of this report is to record field measurements of bend flow hydraulics and sediment characteristics made at comparatively low flow on the Fall River, Rocky Mountain National Park. These data are significant because there is a dearth of information on the distributions of primary and secondary velocities, boundary shear stress and sediment movement in channel bends, in natural rivers. These data are required to apply, test and verify the increasing number of bend flow models being produced both in the USA and abroad. To make up a hopefully, complete data set, measurements were made by a team of researchers over a two day period during which the flow was steady. Measurements consisted of, channel planfonn mapping, water surface and bed topography mapping, sketching of bedforms, sampling and sieve analysis of bed material, estimation of total bedload transport rate, and measurement of long stream and cross stream velocity at 9 sections. The complete data are presented in this report in that order. This is important because it is not possible to publish the data owing to the restricted space available in professional journals. It is the authors' intention that these data be available for use by interested researchers and it is to this end that this report is being produced.
