The purpose of this environmental assessment is to identify and evaluate the environmental impacts that would occur with the establishment of interim operating criteria for Glen Canyon Dam for about 3 years beginning November 1, 1991. This assessment is prepared in accordance with the NEPA and current Department of the Interior and Bureau of Reclamation guidelines. This action is needed for protection of downstream resources pending completion of the Glen Canyon Dam Environmental Impact Statement and the selection and implementation of final operating criteria for Glen Canyon Dam.
