Intergradation between two pairs of salamanders (P. jordani and P. metcalfi, and P. metcalfi and P. melaventris) are documented; a new subspecies proposed (P. jordani teyahalee); and the taxonomic arrangement of the genus Plethodon is discussed, with corrections suggested.
