From the Introduction: "This report presents the results of a study conducted in the Coast Range Ecoregion in support of the nutrient criteria developement effort in Region 10 EPA. The goals of this study were to 1) define the population of lakes and reservoirs in the Ecoregion, 2) classify the lakes with respect to nutrient processing based on linmological principles, 3) analyze water quality data to characterize the lake categories and 4) explore methods to derive numeric criteria for the nutrient criteria variables (Total P, Total N, chlorophyll and Secchi) in relation to designated uses." Many lakes throughout Olympic National Park included in study.
