Four fixed-wing survey flights during August 2008 documented 278 mountain goats in Glacier National Park. Most goats observed were widely scattered as single animals or small groups of 2-3 individuals, with larger groups near the Walton Goatlick, Logan Pass/Haystack Butte area, Goat Haunt Mountain, and Mt. Grinnell.
