This project identifies and evaluates the representative riparian plant communities in the 100-year floodplain of the mainstem Delaware River between Hancock New York and the Delaware Water Gap. The goals of the project were to 1) Determine the riparian community types that are found and represented in the project area; 2) Develop reference conditions for representative riparian plant communities; 3) Develop conceptual ecological models for these community types; and 4) Provide preliminary insights and discussion into the potential strategies available and needed to conserve this resource.
