A survey would provide an opportunity to gain insight into the impact that a small boat harbor may have on marine resources over a twenty year period. This study was undertaken to quantitatively ascertain the impacts that Honokohau Small Boat Harbor has had on the marine fish communities both within and adjacent to the harbor and any impacts to marine communities with the expansion of the existing harbor at Kawaihae.
