Based on site visits and discussions with park staff, GRD developed a range of alternatives for managing the Navajo Loop Trail at Bryce Canyon National park. Recommendations range from very detailed engineering designs such as reinforced wall systems for containment of landslides to basic trail design principles such as rolling grade dips. The Park has the choice to implement the assorted recommendations individually or as comprehensive alternatives for an entire trail. In addition to trail design and repair alternatives, this report also presents recommendations for undertaking the development of a park-wide trail management plan.
