Utilizing Multi-Criteria Risk Models to Monitor Invasive Plants in the National Parks of the Great Lakes Network

Shartell LM, Storer AJ, Nagel LM, Hyslop MD, Webster CR. 2008. Utilizing Multi-Criteria Risk Models to Monitor Invasive Plants in the National Parks of the Great Lakes Network. A User Manual. Michigan Technological University. Houghton, Michigan

The user manual was developed for multi-criteria risk models that assist with the monitoring and management of ten target invasive plants within parks of the Great Lakes Inventory and Monitoring Network. The models were developed within ArcGIS and utilize Geographic Information System (GIS) data to assess the risk of invasion across each National Park. The models predict unique risks for introduction, establishment, and spread and are customized to a specific invasive plant’s biological and environmental preferences.
