Hydrothermal mineral zoning within an eroded stratocone: Remote sensing spectral analysis of Brokeoff Volcano, California

Crowley JK, Mars JC, John DA, Muffler LJ, Clynne MA. 2004. Hydrothermal mineral zoning within an eroded stratocone: Remote sensing spectral analysis of Brokeoff Volcano, California. Pages 215-226. In Infrared spectroscopy in geochemistry, exploration geochemistry, and remote sensing. Mineralogical Association of Canada Short Course 33. London, Ontario

This chapter uses remote sensing data to (1) map layered mineral assemblages in the Brokeoff volcano area, (2) characterize past and present alteration effects within the stratocone, and (3) propose additional studies to better understand these processes within shallow subvolcanic environments.
