Field surveys of 21 sites were surveyed for special concern plants and communities in connection with a project to remove hazard structures. Target species lists were developed from information provided by state natural heritage programs and from pre-survey site visits. Surveys were conducted from August 2008 to July 2009. Naturally occurring special concern species were identified at five of the sites.
