Suggestion of installing a laboratory at Kilauea to monitor the volcanoes and gain a better understanding of Earth's processes particularly considering the diasters resulting from recent (early 1900s) earthquakes. Discussion also gives reasons why Kilauea makes a good site for investigating volcanic activity.
