The CNMI Unified Watershed Assessment classified 14 watersheds as Category I Watersheds that need restoration because they do not meet, or are faced with imminent threat of not meeting, clean water and other natural resource goals. Following each watershed description is a specific restoration strategy consisting of goals and specific actions and timetables needed to achieve the goals. Priority Actions describe the first actions needed. Interagency Coordination identifies actions to be taken through coordinated government responses. Community Outreach describes the kinds of public outreach and education measures that best support achieving watershed goals. Other Actions describe a variety of specific watershed restoration measures.
