The Mohave ground squirrel (Spermophilus mohavensis) was investigated with direct sightings and live trappings, using Sherman collapsible traps, approximately 12 miles North of Little Lake, Inyo County, California. The direct sightings occurred as S. mohavensis were harvesting seeds from the Joshua trees (Yucca brevifolia var. brevifolia).
