Land protection plan for Montezuma Castle National Monument [DRAFT]

Montezuma Castle National Monument. 1984. Land protection plan for Montezuma Castle National Monument [DRAFT]. National Park Service

This plan proposes the acquisition of a scenic easement to retain agricultural use of a private tract of land within the Montezuma Well unit boundary. The tract is currently used for grazing, which is a compatible use for preservation of the prehistoric scene, while potential subdivision for residential development would adversely affect preservation of the scene.
