Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve Bird Inventory: Bird Checklist

The NPS established the Natural Resource Inventory and Monitoring Program (I&M) to help park units collect scientifically credible ecological resource information and to develop or improve field and analytical monitoring techniques. As a first step, 5-year inventories were initiated in the North Coast and Cascades Network (NCCN) to gather core sets of data describing park vascular plants and vertebrate resources. The goal of this particular Inventory was to obtain baseline data on bird species present in Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve and to produce a bird species checklist for the Reserve. See also the documentation for the bird checklist (IRMA Reference Code: 663592). As of August 2008, 230 species have been documented within EBLA boundaries.
