From the Introduction: "The Amphibian Research and Monitoring Initiative (ARMI) was funded by Congress beginning in 2000 and continues indefinitely. The goals of ARMI are to: (1) establish a network designed to monitor the status and changes in the distribution and abundance of amphibian species and communities in the United States; (2) indentify environmental conditions known to affect amphibians and document their differences across the Nation; (3) conduct research that indentifies causes of amphibian population change and malformations; and (4) provide information to managers, policy makers and the general public in support of amphibian conservation." This is the 2009 annual report for the Initiative.
