The objective of this trip to Devil’s Postpile National Monument (DEPO) was to target Cirsium vulgare (bull thistle), Verbascum thapsus (wooly mullein), Tragopogon dubius (salsify), and Bromus tectorum (cheatgrass) throughout the Monument. All individuals were manually removed. Working with host park staff, the CAEPMT covered the majority of DEPO and found it to be relatively clear of exotic infestations. After extensive hiking throughout the park without finding any major infestations, the team was able to return to PORE one day early
