The results are not surprising. WIldlind fires are an integral part of so many landscapes on national forest land that the plants that evolved in them over thousands of years tend to be fire-adapted or even fire-dependent. And where fire is not normally a part of the ecosystem for lack of fuel-remembering that plants become fuel only under certain specific conditions-it poses no significant danger to rare plants.
