The study investigated what organisms would attach to debris in Mosquito Lagoon, Fl. Debris used were water bottles, soda cans, onofilament line and minature crab traps. Cladophora was the most abundant alga found on the substratums. Some of the sessile invertebrates were bryozoans, gastropods, ascidians, and barnacles. When debis finds its way into the water column, it offers new space that was not there before.
