From the Introduction: "This report provides an account of the Aquatic and Effectiveness Monitoring Program's (AREMAP) monitoring efforts in fiscal year 2009.... The Northwest Forest Plan (NWFP), a management strategy applied to 24 million acres of federal land in the Pacific Northwest, was approved in 1994. The NWFP includes an Aquatic Conservation Strategy that requires the protection, restoration, and monitoring of aquatic ecosystems under the Plan's jurisdiction ..... We continued our efforts toward producing a 15-year assessment of watershed condition status and trend, with an expected completion date of fall 2010."
