Puma Prescribed Fire Fire Behavior Modeling

Stephen P. 2007. Puma Prescribed Fire Fire Behavior Modeling. Intermountain Region Office. Bryce Canyon National Park

To give personnel from Bryce Canyon and Dixie National Forest insight into the potential fire behavior and effects, FlamMap was used to calculate crown fire activity for the Puma Prescribed Fire unit. FlamMap was fun under different fuel moisture/weather scenarios for weather inputs: The very coolest end of the prescription, Cool end of the "desired" prescription, Hot end of the "desired" prescription, Wildfire conditions.
