The purpose of the Internal Aviation Management Plan (IAMP) is to establish general guidelines for official use of aircraft. It also attempts to provide specific direction for those individuals involved in the use of aircraft as a significant portion of their position description, or incidental to their duties. This plan will ensure safety, protection of park resources and facilities, compliance with the National Park Service mission, and as stated in the policy, that each flight considers efficiency, economy, and effectiveness.
