Stem Decays of Conifers in the Intermountain Region

Tkacz BM. 2001. Stem Decays of Conifers in the Intermountain Region. USDA Forest Service. Ogden Field Office

This presentation will deal with common stem decays of conifers in the Intermountain Region. Since the amount of decay is usually related to age, this class of diseases will diminish in importance as we manage forest stands to shorter rotations. However, decay will still be an important consideration where we partially cut sensitive species.
