Since herbarium specimens are the primary form of evidence for the occurrence of vascular plant species in national park units, accurate specimen information must be maintained in the service-wide database for species documentation in national parks, NPSpecies. This project verified and databased all herbarium specimens at the following Southern Colorado Plateau Network parks: Mesa Verde National Park, Navajo National Monument, Petrified Forest National Park, Petroglyph National Monument, Walnut Canyon National Monument, Wupatki National Monument, Sunset Crater National Monument, and Yucca House National Monument. A total of 5,768 specimens were identified and databased in NPSpecies. Of this total, 15% received nomenclature updates, and 12% were annotated.
