This report is the result of a survey commissioned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on the wetland vegetation of American Samoa. The objectives are: (1) the compilation of an inventory of wetlands and delineation of their boundaries; (2) the preparation of a list of the characteristic plant species for each type of wetland; and (3) the preparation of a field guide to wetland species and vegetation. Includes sections on mangrove forests, coastal marshes, and other wetlands. Site maps, a list of personal contacts, descriptions/key to wetland species, and photographs of wetland species are provided.
