Final report of a bird and butterfly diversity study conducted at Allegheny Portage RR NHS and Johnstown Flood NMem by research staff from the Penn State University. This study was conducted from April 1997 - March 1999 to provide a baseline database for future studies that may be designed to develop a long-term monitoring and management program. The report contains descriptions of the study areas, study methods, results, conclusions and recomendations. The report also includes four maps detailing study transects and habitat characteristics.
