Extensive survey for the California Gnatcatcher on Point Loma resulted in only one sighting. Searched the literature and found records of collection of a nest in 1915 and nine adults birds in 1908. Mapped potential habitat on Point Loma. Appendix B is a list of other bird species observed during the survey, including the number of individuals observed.
