Part I, the "Management of Isle Royale National Park", deals primarily with the on-the-site management actions taken in building the park to its present form. The primary source for this information has had to be from newspapers and books, as no official documents were available to the to the author. Part II, the "General Administrative Policies of the National Park Service as They Relate to Isle Royale National Park", is an examination of the general policies of the National Park Service, as stated in official documents. An attempt was made to select only those policies that relate to the management of Isle Royale National Park. Part III, an "Evaluation of Isle Royale National Park Management", uses as its sole source of information the authors own personal views. These views were built upon a background of both literature research and personal observation during a two week visit.
