This U.S. Bureau of Land Management outdoor recreation report contains field data collected during a 1972 float trip on the Alagnak River. The purpose of the report is to provide background information for the Alagnak National Wild River Study. It contains evaluation sheets, maps, and original photographs that describe the river section by section. The evaluation sheets provide an inventory of the river's width, depth, water clarity, and class of water; suitability for boating; accessibility; hazards to use; fishing and hiking potential; and nearby vegetation. In addition, quality rating charts evaluate the river's fishing; hunting; float boating; sightseeing (scenic, botanical, and zoological values); and primitive area use potential.
