The general management plan addresses a number of management issues, primarily questions concerning Books Camp and the development of primitive camping areas. The land protection plan identifies the interests in nonfederal lands within the park/preserve boundary. It assigns priorities for acquiring interests in each of the public land tracts. The wilderness suitability review found 491,807 acres suitable for wilderness, 176,592 acres not suitable, and 29,865 acres pending suitability determination as land status is resolved. This final plan does not contain the environmental assessment that was included in the draft.
