The use of LANDSAT imagery shows there is a difference in the spectral reflectance of the lava flows of Craters of the Moon. Weathering, vegetation and soil deposits have caused this change in reflectance and therefore changed the surface roughness, surface chemistry, and mineralogy. Significant variations in the spectral reflectance of lava flows as mapped by LANDSAT. Conclude to be an aid in mapping volcanics. This is a summary paper. Also includes a 1 page oral abstract on the same subject. Geographic location: CRMO (Craters of the Moon National Monument)
