Landscape ecology: a concept for protecting park resources

Allen CD, Yarborough KA, Lissoway JD. 1990. Landscape ecology: a concept for protecting park resources. Park Science. 10(1):7-8

This report explains a pilot program at Bandelier National Monument, NM, which links the Resource Basic Inventory (RBI), Geographical Information Systems (GIS), and research activities in and around the monument to create a 'landscape ecology paradigm'. This allows for landscape changes in the Jemez Mountains, in which Bandelier is embedded, to be assessed in regards to impact upon the park. Includes an organizational flow chart of the project.
