FIELD WORK: July-August 1924, Oak Meadow Region. The project involved determining plant and animal relationships. INSECTS & ARACHNIDS: Lists insects identified, often only to family or genus (no attempt to determine species). Contains a list of butterflies and moths identified to species. INVERTEBRATES: The common earthworm, a few land snails, and two slugs (none identified to species) are noted. BIRDS: Contains a list of birds seen in the area. MAMMALS: Notes that Evotomys gapperi and Microtus pennsylvanicus were found. AMPHIBIANS: Reports that the genera Hyla and Rana were found (does not identify to species). REPTILES: Three reptiles of genera Tropidonotus and Thamnophis were found (does not identify to species). FLORA - VASCULAR: Lists plants by common name found in the study area, describes different habitats and associated dominant species
