This is a progress report of a study of ground-dwelling arthropods at Bandelier National Monument. This study was conducted by Bandelier staff and personnel from the Sevilleta Long-Term Ecological Research Program. Pitfall traps were set up in April 1992, in pinyon-juniper and mixed conifer communities to monitor arthropods across elevation and temperature/moisture gradients. Collected specimens were sent to the University of New Mexico for identification. Numbers of specimens from different classes and orders are tabulated.
