Mammal Bones from Dunes South of Lake Michigan

The authors carried out a survey of the mammals of the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore area by examining bones found in dune blowouts. Present day mammal fauna is compared with slightly older fauna represented by the dune skeletal material. Probable methods of deposition are given, along with tables indicating species identified from the blowouts, and species collected from previous studies. An annotated list of species is supplied. Comments are made on the field collections and historical presence of species.
