Map inventory of nonmarine aquatic resources of American Samoa with on-site biological annotations
Burger IL and Maciolek JA. 1981. Map inventory of nonmarine aquatic resources of American Samoa with on-site biological annotations. U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, National Fisheries Research Center,. Seattle, WA
This inventory contains a descriptive, ordered listing of all surface waters of American Samoa that are not directly a part of the marine ecosystem. Names and information were derived almost entirely from base reference maps. System descriptions include locations, dimension, and other physical information obtainable from the maps, except for mean discharges from a few streams. These data are intended to provide biologists, resource managers, and interested agencies with a comprehensive, dynamic reference of aquatic systems which can be modified and expanded as new information becomes available." Areas covered: Tutuila, Aunu`u, Ofu, Olosega, Ta`u, and Swain Island.
