Digital processing of LANDSAT images used to map lava flows; were able to differentiate between types of flows and ages of flows. Geographic location:CRMO (Craters of the Moon National Monument). By utilizing aerial photos and LANDSAT imagery the USGS mapped the lava flows. They also investigated the difference in age of the lava flow. The methodology section explains the use of LANDSAT and computer compatible tapes.
