Mating Systems in Xeromphalina Species

Johnson JE and Petersen RH. 1997. Mating Systems in Xeromphalina Species. Mycologia. 89(3):393-399

Mating systems of Xeropmhalina mushrooms were determined to be tetrapolar. Other goals of the study include: 1)to increase the number of taxa for which mating systems are known, 2)to better ascertain whether mating systems are consistent across the genus, and 3)to determine whether mating systems in Xeromphalina conform or contrast to those of genera usually considered to be related.
