This paper describes the techniques used in studying mule deer (Odocoileus hemionus) movements, density, and distribution. Includes a discussion of the problems encountered and adjustments that had to be made. The techniques used were live trapping, visual marking and relocation, radiotelemetry, and pellet-group surveys.
