Microorganisms from the Late Precambrian of the Grand Canyon, Arizona

Plant microfossils have been found in a bed of the late Precambrian Chuar Group from eastern Grand Canyon. This newly discovered microflora, probably among the youngest Precambrian biological communities now known, appears to be of both evolutionary and biostratigraphic significance.
