Mixing and volatiles in Southern Cascade Range magmas

Eichelberger JC. Mixing and volatiles in Southern Cascade Range magmas

Direct evidence is provided by the young eruptive sequences at Lassen Park, Medicine Lake, and Crater Lake for the replenishment of crustal magma reservoirs by primitive magma from the mantle, and for the development of water-rich caps on these reservoirs. Given is a general summary of what the young lavas of Lassen represent.
