28 presumed Gambusia gaigei and 20 presumed G. affinis were collected in Big Bend National Park, Texas, for laboratory analysis. Electrophoretic tests of six enzymes were performed on these specimen (G. gaigei vs. affinis). Only LDH (lactate dehydrogenase) proved of diagnostic use
