This report provides results of the second and third years of monitoring a large sediment input to Prairie Creek from highway construction. The report sections are: Sediment Transport, Effect on Salmonid Reproduction, and Properties of Gravels in Redds. Conclusions from the three-year study show low salmonid egg survival, with some effect from construction-related fine sediments which persisted through two low water years. The report includes many figures and tables with study results, and 9 appendices, including raw data for egg survival study, particle size data, dissolved oxygen values, and more.
