Second year, six-month report describing winter 1997 data collection on a project to gather baseline data on algae and invertebrates to serve as a reference point for monitoring natural and human disturbances. This project was funded by Golden Gate National Recreation Area. One of the sites is offshore from the Park, two others are offshore from Point Reyes National Seashore. The report includes species lists (algae and invertebrates) and an analysis of abundance data for each site.
