This paper reports on the mortality of fishes due to a depression in air temperatures during January, 1940 in southeast Florida. Water temperatures of 55 degrees C were reported in the extreme NE Florida Bay portion of Everglades National Park (Jewfish Creek area). A list of fishes which were observed to be stunned or killed was presented.
